Creature Containment
A downloadable game
Creature Containment is a solo-dev project 4 years in the making.
A Top-down bullet hell shooter with base management elements, Creature Containment is set in the year 2567, 500 years after an apocalypse that destroyed the world, and ushered in the age of Magical Computing.
Build facilities, hire operators, fight hordes of goblins in an underground facility, and then return to base to upgrade it further.
Operators brought into the field will permanently die, so preparation is key.
As a recent graduate of a prominent military academy, the player has been charged with clearing out a goblin infestation that has halted all recent construction of a new trans-national railway.
ARKCORP, cooperating with the local militia, has provided the player with a new prototype M-TEK Console. A powerful magical computer, this new console is capable of administering an entire outpost from a single screen.
Hired operators can be purchased equipment from built shops, and then deployed into the field.
Once in the field, operators will head deeper into the facility, exploring levels and fighting hostiles along the way.
Funded by a multi-national bounty board, creature kills in the field grant money to operators. Money generated in the field can then be brought back to base for upgrades, gear, and new hires.
Using a one-way instant transmission, operators can be brought back to base at any time. Once brought back to base, all items, gear, and money can be transferred to base.
I am currently working towards a playable demo, which should be ready soon!!
